Wall Mount Installation
Mount Converter Box onto Wall
Mount the converter box on to any surface. Works better if mounted on to wood studs. It is possible to mount to concrete or masonry wall. If mounting on concrete we recommend using concrete screws or ramset anchors.
Stud Location
Ideally wood studs should be located 8 inches apart. So that two mounting screws can be placed on either side of the coin conversion box.
Connect Appliance Cable
Once unit is securely mounted to wall, plug washer or dryer electrical cable into coin converter box. Use plastic stoppers to prevent anyone from removing cord. Extra stoppers are provided for additional safety.
Connect to Electrical Wall Outlet
Plug coin converter box into electrical wall plug, for either 110 volt or 240 volt machines.
CAUTION: There is a potential for shock hazard, and at no time should anyone place hands or tools inside the unit when coin laundry converter is plugged into a live electrical power outlet.
Under Cabinet Mount Installation
A great way to mount the coin laundry converter timers for either a washer or dryer is to place it under a cabinet. This method provides a clean, professional look while keeping the unit protected and easily accessible.
Key Benefits
- • No drilling required - uses existing mounting holes on top of unit
- • Great appearance and recommended for certain situations
- • Works when studs can't be located or don't exist
- • Provides protection and clean installation
Prepare Wood Spacers
Before lifting the box into place, prepare a 1/2 inch wood spacer. This spacer is needed to prevent the coin timer converter box's front door from being obstructed by the wood cabinet.
Use Top Mounting Holes
The coin timer box has 4 holes on the top side. These holes are specifically designed for under-cabinet mounting, eliminating the need for drilling additional holes.
Mount and Secure
Lift the box into position with the wood spacer in place, then secure using appropriate screws through the top mounting holes into the cabinet structure.
Pro Tip: Under cabinet mounting looks great and is highly recommended for installations where a clean, integrated appearance is desired.
Wall Inset Mount Installation
In order to save space, the coin laundry converter box can be inset into the wall. This installation method is ideal for new construction and renovations where customers want to make their coin laundry box more aesthetically pleasing.
Installation Overview
If there is space between adjacent wood studs in the wall, it's possible to place the coin laundry converter box between the wood studs. This installation leaves only a 2 inch enclosure lid exposed. The door of the enclosure can still be opened and closed without obstruction.
Key Benefits
- • Space-saving design with minimal wall protrusion
- • Aesthetically pleasing flush mount appearance
- • Ideal for new construction and renovations
- • Door remains fully functional and accessible
- • Uses space between existing wall studs
